Having done this examine the items that you want to keep. Count the number of each separate item such as pairs of shoes, dresses that require long hanging, shorter hanging items and accessories. Work out whether the closet space that you have can actually accommodate the items that you have. If the answer is yes, then you have probably already achieved your goals simply by sorting through your clothes.
Drawers - Delicates and other types of clothes that you'd like to keep as clean and dust-free as possible can be folded and tucked away into drawers. Clothing Racks - Double- or even triple-hang clothing racks can be incorporated into virtually any closet system, allowing you to keep shirts, dresses and other items of clothing neatly organized. Shoe Storage - From off-the-floor shoe racks to slanted shoe shelves, there are plenty of convenient ways to keep your shoes from getting out of control.
Another cheap way to arrange closet storage is to examine the actual stuff that is stored in the closet. Homogenization is the key. That means the stuff should be the same and accessed at the same rate. A daily used hat or brief case should not be stored with a tennis racquet that is never used (even if bought with the best intentions) or Hallow'een decorations that are pulled out once per year. If you need to store items you don't use then store then in some obscure corner of your basement. For items used once or twice per year, store them in a closet with other items used with the same frequency.
Closet storage systems not only sort, organize, and display your clothing and other items in a closet so that they look good and are easy to access, but the long term care of your clothing can also be improved with the use of such a simple tool. Hangers that do not wrinkle, crease, fade fabric, or stain (yes many hangers are the reason for those mysterious discoloration stains), protective coverings and specially designed storage boxes, even odor elimination are aspects not overlooked by quality closet storage systems.
You are most likely the same as everyone else. You clean the entire house only to be overwhelmed with the clutter. Organization is the key. Closet storage systems have become one of the best ways to stay organized. You can transform any small space into extra storage with the proper system. There are storage units available for any size closet from the broom closet in the kitchen to the walk-in closet in the master bedroom. When the clutter becomes overwhelming it is time to get organized.
