There are many types of decorative shelving. For example, you can buy colorful decorative shelving for the kids' room. You can even have your children help you assemble it if you pass it as a big, colorful puzzle. Of course, this type of decorative shelving isn't toxic at all, and its base is normally heavier in order to give it more balance.
Space is another major concern and so it makes sense to use items that will not make the space look too cluttered up. Once the space issue has been resolved it is then time to look at whether to use mounting solutions or floor standing ones. This is an option that works perfectly in spaces where there is not enough floor space available to place or install the storage solution.
You might want to install some nicely done decorative shelves into the room of your kids. You just have to visit the nearest hobby store in your area and purchase some nice and big letters, various paint colors, stickers or whatever comes into your mind and then allot some of your time in making a shelf or a couple probably with the help of your kids. The outcome would something that you and your kids would love and not to mention that the time that you have spent in doing it will not be as valuable as anything else.
