Every closet could use a bit of organization. There are cheap and easy ways to organize a closet. One of the simplest ways is to buy some pre-fab plastic stacking shelves and some colourless plastic bins. Make sure the bins are 2 inches less in height than the height space of the shelves otherwise it will be a tight fit. Put a 3x5 sticker on the end of each bin and make note of the contents. If the contents should change just re-apply a new sticker.
The closet storage systems come in many different colors and styles. There is one to match any décor. The wood systems can be painted to match. Staining the wood will allow the closet storage system to match your cabinets or other furniture pieces. These versatile pieces can become part of your furniture.
Closet storage systems are the best thing since sliced bread. You can hang all of your clothes up wrinkle free and in a highly organized and simple to maintain manner. Your days of sock drawer scavenger hunts and ties creased beyond repair are finally over.
Closets come in one of several forms. Stand alone closets are useful in that they can be moved from room to room and be taken with you when you move. However, they are often fairly small and it may be difficult to reorganise the storage space within them. Built in closets are usually larger and are often more adaptable. Frequently it is possible to find a way to reorganize or rearrange the interior so that space can be more efficiently used. Walk in closets are generally the most flexible kind of closet storage and can be completely reconfigured if required, although this might take a skilled craftsman and some considerable expense in some instances.
Built in closets often have adjustable shelving and rails. If this is the case consider whether you are able to reconfigure your closet to better meet your needs. Alternatively ask a builder or handyman to suggest ideas for the layout of your closet to increase storage space. A walk in closet offers the most flexible storage of clothing. In this case there are multiple closet systems available, and they are usually flexible and adjustable.
